Curious

In sculptor Simo Helenius’s work Curious, a male bronze figure appears to be disappearing head first into the ground, as though diving into a well. The work was previously entitled In Despair. Like Curious, the original title can be interpreted as a darkly humorous reference to the all-consuming nature of a thirst for knowledge and deep absorption.
