Regional Museum of Art

WAM serves as the regional museum responsible for art and the visual cultural heritage of Southwest Finland. We support museums, municipalities and other organisations in the region that manage art collections, exhibit visual art or promote visual culture.

We develop cooperation within the museum sector across the region. We promote the documentation of art and visual cultural heritage and improve the digital accessibility of collections and information.

We provide the services of the regional museum to professionals working in the museum field. In addition, we organise training, events and programmes for artists and residents throughout the region. We strengthen the role of public art and the collaboration networks connected to it across Southwest Finland.
